According to Gartner, Thailand’s IT spending will grow by 4.9% in 2021 and 5.7% in 2022. While spending in all segments will grow, enterprise software is expected to achieve the highest growth rate of 13.2%. Worldwide end-user spending on public cloud services is forecast to grow 23.1% in 2021 to total $332.3 billion, up from $270 billion in 2020. “Emerging technologies are becoming more mainstream and driving additional cloud spending. Despite macroeconomic headwinds, offerings that support or deliver public cloud services are experiencing tremendous growth. Software as a service (SaaS) remains the largest market segment and is forecast to reach $122.6 billion in 2021 as the demand for composable applications requires a different type of SaaS experience . Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) will see the highest growth in 2021, 38.5% and 67.7% respectively, as pressures to scale infrastructure that supports moving complex workloads to the cloud and the demands of a hybrid workforce.
In the AI market, the IDC Worldwide Semiannual Artificial Intelligence Tracker report predicts that total global AI market revenue, including software, hardware, and services, will increase by 16.4% (YoY) to $327.5 billion in 2021. Revenue is expected to exceed $500 billion by 2024, with the High-Performance Computing (HPC) market (solutions, servers, storage, networking devices, software, and services) growing from $37.8 billion in 2020 to $49.4 billion in 2025. High Performance Computing is used in analytics, increases the speed of the product development cycle, and makes data modeling, simulation and analysis easier.
